How do I remove cellulite from my legs, buttocks, and abdomen? This question is a very common one that many women ask every day. It is very possible to remove cellulite from your problem areas in ways that are healthy and don’t require surgery.

Some of the common “names” of cellulite include cottage cheese thighs or orange peel syndrome. Cellulite can occur in both men and women although women are susceptible to getting cellulite. Other than what it looks like, many people have no idea what cellulite actually is. Before you start taking steps to remove cellulite it is important to know what causes it and what it is exactly.

There is a layer of skin called the subcutaneous layer which is made up of connective tissue and fat. When fluid and fats accumulate under this layer, it gets thicker and becomes lumpy and hard giving it a dimple-like appearance. This usually happens post-puberty. This skin formation from fat is cellulite. How can a person remove cellulite from those unwanted areas? The task seems impossible at times but with a few changes in your lifestyle, the fight to remove cellulite from those problem areas will be well on its way to a win-win situation.

Our body stores fat as a way to defend itself against outside elements and provides insulation. This layer of stored fat is typically thin; cellulite on the other hand is a thick fatty layer that is distributed unevenly under the skin. It is much different than typical body fat as it doesn’t insulate the body. These fat deposits are usually found in the arms, hips, thighs, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, and legs. Both women and men of any age and body type can get cellulite at some point in their life. Some of the common reasons include genetics, age, and hormones. Regardless of your age or what genetics has in store for you, you shouldn’t give up on trying to remove cellulite from those problem areas. If you can get cellulite, you can definitely remove cellulite.

While there is no permanent treatment to remove cellulite, you can do things to help with its appearance as well as making the skin tighter in those problem areas. There are many products on the market such as cellulite lotion and creams that remove cellulite appearance from your problem areas. These products typically provide hydration and moisture to those areas to help bring back blood flow and to make the skin healthy enough to repair itself. While these types of creams and lotions get rid of the appearance of cellulite on the skin, it doesn’t remove cellulite from your skin tissue. They also include all-natural ingredients to help firm and tone your skin in these areas. The active ingredients that help remove cellulite appearance include horse tail extract, green tea, caffeine, algae, and capsicum.

The longer you have the cellulite, the harder it is to remove cellulite as there is too much damage to the skin. Since cellulite creams and lotions don’t get rid of cellulite, there are other things you should do to help remove cellulite for good. One of the most effective treatments for cellulite is changing your lifestyle and your diet. If you find yourself eating foods high in fat, sodium, and unhealthy proteins it is time to make a change. Eating foods that are all-natural and aren’t processed or refined foods such as fresh lean meats and fresh fruits and veggies will significantly help remove cellulite. Also, start drinking plenty of water as it helps flush toxins and waste out of your body and keeps your skin hydrated and healthy.

Other lifestyle changes you should start making now include getting in a targeted exercise workout regularly. Targeted exercise programs geared towards any of your trouble areas have been proven to remove cellulite. It helps strengthen your muscles providing more solid support for your skin making it firmer. Getting in weight training that targets the specific problem areas is great to help firm up your muscles and toning your skin. If you have cellulite on your thighs and your buttocks targeted exercises you could do include walking, jogging, and riding a bike. If you have cellulite on your stomach or the upper parts of your body targeted exercise you could include are sit-ups, rowing, swimming, kayaking, or boxing.

If you are a smoker or drink alcohol, now is the time to quit. Smoking and drinking alcohol deprive your body of blood flow to the skin and essentially suffocates it. If you want to remove cellulite it is important to stop these bad habits so your skin has the time to repair itself and generate new skin cells.

If you have been fighting the battle of trying to remove cellulite from those problem areas and the battle has yet to be won, taking these steps to change your lifestyle will help in getting rid of cellulite. None of these method are a quick fix but if you are patient, you will see results to the appearance of your cellulite within a few weeks.
