Bba / Mba / Management Colleges In IndiaBy Expert Author: iipm bschool
IIPM leads by example when it comes to Corporate Social Responsibility. IIPM’s CSR initiative is the world’s largest CSR initiative undertaken by any B-School globally. All href="http://www.iipm.edu/iipm-old/ranking.html/">IIPM students compulsorily as a part of their programme, have to spend two weeks working for GIDF in various slums/villages of India. Therefore just like IIPM students are given the No 1 global exposure amongst all B-Schools in India, they are also given the No 1 social work exposure in India.
IIPM has been a leader in Industry Interface in India; and has consistently been ranked very highly in various surveys. However, IIPM believes that there is no other B - School in India and very few globally which can match IIPM’s industry interface quality and depth. In most B - Schools (especially in India) Industry Interface is limited to industry visits, guest lectures and seminars and events organised by the institute. In the same IIPM is definitely the leader.
At IIPM we believe this is just a fraction of what industry interface is supposed to be therefore like a handful of leading global B - Schools in the world, IIPM’s industry interface is all about working together with the corporate world and giving them hands on consulting solutions.
At IIPM a majority of permanent faculty members are simultaneously involved in providing live solutions to various dimensions of corporate problems in order to bring inside the classroom an unparalleled first hand, continuous industry interface experience.
Aurobindo Chaudhuri Memorial Great Indian Dream Foundation (GIDF)
The Aurobindo Chaudhuri Memorial Great Indian Dream Foundation (GIDF) is one of the largest and perhaps the most diversified not for profit organization based in New Delhi, India. Modelled as a developmental organization that carries out development projects in remote and inaccessible parts of India and the urban regions alike, we have made a difference to millions of lives across 14 states since our establishment in 2002.
GIDF is a developmental organization with a difference. We integrate various development initiatives together to develop sustainable and self-reliant communities. With a sharp focus on education, health, employment generation and caring for the environment, we have a team of over 150 enthusiasts who work with us to design and implement our projects. We believe that for a disadvantaged community to survive, develop and prosper, providing basic needs of education, health and employment are the key criteria. This belief led us to engineer our flagship projects such as the e-SHIKSHA initiative where we provide IT skills to the youth to better their chances of gaining employment or the TARA project where there is special emphasis on providing a good quality learning and development environment to young children. GIDF’s Mobile Health Outreach programme and projects in partnership with UNICEF, WHO, MPSACS and DSACS have radicalized the way development projects are designed and implemented and we continue to push these boundaries under the support and patronage of individual and corporate supporters.
“It is my pleasure and privilege to state that I have been associated with The Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) since its inception. I have myself grown with the Institute, as a teacher, as a friend and philosopher to Prof. Chaudhuri and various batches of students over the years since 1973. Based on my long association with IIPM, I state that the courses taught at the Institute cover not only regular MBA curriculum, but also additional inputs of Economics with special emphasis on macro level planning and National Economic Management, which have bearing on corporate management... At the current state of environment, when we talk about global business management, students are thus exposed to a variety of subjects in greater detail. In view of this. I have no hesitation in admitting that the IIPM course is superior to any regular Post Graduate Diploma/Degree Course exclusively focussed on just MBA curriculum.”
Dr. M. Adhikari, 6th of March 1995 (when he was Dean,
Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi)
“...IIPM covers all the subjects normally taught in MBA course in addition to 31 credits course in Economics... the IIPM programme in Planning and Management is considered superior to standard MBA courses.”
Dr. P.K.Jain, 20th of August 1995
(when he was the Head, Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi)
“...The course content of the Planning and Management Programme of The Indian Institute of Planning and Management covers all the subjects taught in MBA course in the Indian Universities. In addition, the course content of IIPM included 16 and above credit courses to integrate the management programme with specialization in National Economic Planning. I have no hesitation to say that IIPM’s two year programme in Planning and Management is superior to standard MBA courses...”
Dr. N.R.Chatterjee, 10th of July 1980
(when he was Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi)
“The course content of the Planning and Management Programme of IIPM covers all the subjects normally taught in MBA courses, in addition to a 32 credit course in economics to integrate the programme with specialization in National Economic Planning... The IIPM programme in Planning and Management may be considered superior to standard MBA courses...”
