What matters most, though, is that your content gets read and that is where the elements of copy come into play. You need to actually understand headlines and your copy need to be easy to scan. People will visit your site intending to scan but if you present the copy well, they are going to click through to the other pages and stick around on your website. There is no such thing as too much emphasis upon the ease with which a person can skim through your website. Your site's homepage needs to be structured and organized and as clear as possible. Make sure they are clear about their starting points. From here, along with a couple of basic offers, the processes you've made clear will be easy for them to follow. There are at least a few informational pages that every web user expects to see. You shouldn't relate these to the sort of content that you want to offer. They are the standard set of business pages like the contact page, the FAQ, the help page and the about page. In addition to being linked to from your home page, it should be easy to get to them from every other page of your website. Remember that making your business site user friendly is just a good investment. And that's what this is all about, and you'll also show the search engines that your site is worth something. Once you do things like this, then it becomes a change of habit and more of what you do will scream quality.
