Intelligent people understand the importance of business cards and use such a card that beautifully explains their etiquette and taste as well as social standing. People love to use business cards that are expensive and made from exotic materials. The majority of people however look towards the cheapest suitable solution for the printing of a business card. Business cards contain user name, company logo, and company designation and user contact information of all sorts. The styling of your business card directly provides information about your personality and professional standing. These days, there are many inexpensive options available for buying good and stylish looking business cards.
Business cards are basically designed for your convenience so that you can easily introduce yourself formally without having to rely on your oral communication skills. Business cards are frequently used for obtaining and securing appointments in places of commercial importance. They are also used by salespersons of various sorts to show their affiliation with a company. Business cards were normally printed with black in the old days. There are many color options as well as graphic designs available these days for printing business cards. Due to modern technology such as digital printing, the cost of producing good quality cards has gone down considerably with cards available for as low as 2-3 cents per card. People usually use colored cards these days though they may only use two colors generally. One color is used for writing while the other is used for company name and logo in this method. Many more colors can be used within the same process.
There are two basic methods of card printing. The most quality method is the offset printing. In this printing a plate transfers the complete card images and characters on a rubber that presses on the card stock to print it. This technique uses spot colors of very high quality and they infuse into the paper which gives these colors long life and durability because business cards are meant to remain fresh even after a long time. There is a high initial cost in using this method for custom preparation of printer setup; however after that the running cost is low. Offset printing is great when we have lots of prints required which number in thousands.
The second technique is digital printing using digital printers just like the printers we find in our home. These printers though are specially designed to handle thick card stock material and provide excellent finish on it although of a slightly lower quality. The differences between the two prints are very minor if latest printers are used. Digital printing costs remain fixed per print and therefore it is the most suitable option for a limited number of prints.
There are many websites and shops that allow you a free sample for your business card that helps you decide the final design and printing method that is most suitable to your printing need. Usually digital printing with a few hundred prints offers the most inexpensive business card printing solution.
