Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world. It is also known as the fifth pillar of Islam. For Muslims, going on hajj Umrah is a must. Every capable Muslim must make efforts and shape and design their life in such a manner that they get closer to God. It is a means of unanimity between the Muslim people and their tribute to God.

The meaning of Hajj pilgrimage is commonly related to the life of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad from ...
... the 7th century. Several Muslims are of the view that the ritual to Mecca is associated with the time of Abraham.

This year too Umrah 2013, pilgrims from across the world will gather together to complete their holy procession. They perform all the rituals, the main being where every Muslim has to walk anti-clockwise seven times around the Kaaba- the cube shaped building that acts as the Muslim direction for prayers.

Pilgrims kiss the Kaaba; run back and forth the hills of Al Safa and Al- Marwah, drink water from the Zamzam well, stand vigil on the plains of Mount Arafat and stone the Devil. After that the pilgrims shave their head, animal sacrifice is done and then the celebration begins with the four day festival of Eid al Adha.

Travelers can also visit Mecca for Umrah to perform the rituals any time of the year suitable for them. This year too pilgrims can visit Mecca for their Umrah 2013 and get all the arrangements done prior to the holy period.
