Spectacles can hamper the looks of an individual. The best alternative is to use contact lenses. Contact lenses have come a long way since their first invention. The first Contact lenses had one major issue. The vision was distorted only after a few hours of use. This had become a major problem and took some time to figure out the real issue. It took time to realize the fact that the eye needs oxygen and breathes oxygen from air. The contact lens was suffocating the eyes and thus the vision was getting blurred. After this realization, the main aim was to solve the oxygen issue. This was realized by the use of plastic materials which are impregnated with silicon. This enables people to use contact lens all day.

There are several other issues with the use of contact lens. If the contact lens doesn’t move in the eye, then the tears can get stagnated under the contact lens. This results in the building up of waste products and can get trapped under the lens which can result in complications. On the contrary, if the lens moves too much also, it will be uncomfortable to the user ...
... and the vision can end up being unstable. Ultimately, the eye itself tries to dissolve the ill fitting lens by coating the lens with mucous and blinking. Therefore it is very important to buy the right fitting contact lenses. If the vision is correct with the contact lens, it means it is fitting well.

One thing to be careful about during contact lens usage is infection. Infection can be caused because of bacteria and virus which are all around us. Care should be taken to avoid infections by washing hands with soap properly and drying them with a clean hand towel before handling the contact lenses.
