Barcelona Attractions

You cannot think of Spain without thinking about Barcelona. As one of the leading cities in the world and one of the top tourist destinations in Spain, Barcelona attractions deserve to be explored and appreciated, if you are to understand and experience Spain. Barcelona is the largest metropolitan centre in the Mediterranean, with its beaches that are some of the most popular sights among tourist attractions in Spain. However, Barcelona attractions include much more than just the beaches.
Some of the first memories that come to the emmory in terms of Barcelona attractions are its cultural heritage, architectural splendor, and rich history that is evident all through the city. This capital city of the county of Barcelona has many signature imprints of the famous architect, Antoni Gaudi, as in the case of the famous Sagrada Familia, which has been in the making for many decades now. Barcelona attractions include such places of architectural splendor that stand witness to the changing architectural styles over the years. Some of the other architectural masterpieces include the Casa Mila, which is also known as La Pedrera, ...
... which are all unique pieces of architecture in the city.
Barcelona attractions also include La Seu Cathedral, an imposing structure that has been at the centre of religious importance over the centuries – this Cathedral has been attracting people with religious inclination for over 8 centuries now. It also features the cloister, which, again, dates back to the 14th century, where you could find 13 geese that are known to signify the life of a young girl who attained martyrdom.
One of the other important places among Barcelona attractions is Parc Güell. If you are looking to have a piece of nature in this bustling city, this is the place to be. Gaudi’s style is obviously visible all over the place, as in the case of the intriguing pavilion and staircases that are splashed in bright and attractive colors. Parc Güell has aptly been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1984. And you may not want to miss an astounding view of the Mediterranean Sea from the Plaza.
La Rambla is among the Barcelona attractions that draw in large crowds by their sheer charm. This crowded place gives you a feel of the vibrancy of the city, complete with kiosks, artists, artwork, flower stalls, and a whole range of activities that would make your day in what is a comprehensive cultural experience. You may also not want to miss the musical fountain in front of Palau Nacional or the National Palace.
