4 Types Of Women’s Shoes
Women’s shoes are as varied as women themselves, but choosing the right style may go a lot easier. Shoes are an integral part of the overall dressing. There are many different types of ladies’ shoes available in market, each with its own set of features, benefits and personal advantages. Here I have jotted down some popular shoe types. Take a look:
High heeled footwear: These shoes raise the heel to about 2 inches or more above the heels. Women generally wear them in social outings or for formal occasions. There are many types of high heeled foot wears. Some of them are:
a) Stiletto heels: They are long and thin and can have a heel height of 2 to 10 inches. Stilettos are worn to get a more sculpted and toned look to a woman’s lag. She also looks much taller than she really is.
b) Kitten heels: These heels have a height of 1-5 or 2 inches. They give the glamour of high heels without adding much to the height, hence preferred mostly by tall women.
c) Wedge heels: These are not single heels and run from the back of the sandal to the front.
Slingback: Slingbacks are a type of women shoes ...
... that has a sling or strap at the back of the shoe that crosses the heel or the ankle. The purpose of the strap or buckle is to hold the foot inside the shoe. The strap is usually made of plastic, metals and in some cases even with stones. Slingbacks can be considered to be a type of sandal and are available in a wide variety of styles from dressy to casual. They may be heel- less or may have high heels; they can be either closed or open toe.
Mules: Mules are backless with covered toes. Mules can be flat, without heels, or have high heels. Most mules are pointed, though some may have square or rounded toes. They are mostly made of leather and are worn mostly for formal purposes and go best with jeans and trousers. These are available in almost all shoe stores. You can also search for shoes online.
Pump shoe: A pump shoe, also known as a court shoe, has a low cut front, usually without a fastening. They cover the foot from the front, back and the sides, leaving the top open. They can be flat or with heels. Flat pumps are very comfortable and can go with all types of dress. They come in different colours and designs and an infinite variation can be made on them. A common type of flat pumps is the ballerina shoe, which are used mostly by ballet dancers, hence the name.
