Reasons To Love A Linen Shirt

As far as I can remember, I have always hated the summer season as a kid. I have always preferred to stay in my house than go out and play in the ground with my friends. Somehow, I could never cope with the feeling of uneasiness of sweat-soaked shirts sticking to my body. However, the unease and discomfort got disappeared instantly a couple of years back when I first got my hands on linen shirts.

Within a month after the first linen store was opened in my city, I was there to check the new arrivals about which I did not have much idea. I was amazed to see the breathtaking collection in the store. The thing which enthralled me the most about the linen shirts in the store is the quality of the fabric. I had never touched a fabric before which was more soft and lighter in weight than the linen shirts. With summer approaching, there was no way I was going to let this chance get away from me to wear something so much comfortable. However as I started wearing them, I soon realized that there is a lot more to them than meets the eye.

• Effective in winter: Not only in the summer seasons, these shirts are equally effective in the winters. The fabric has a great insulating property and this has helped to keep me warm during the chilly weather conditions.

• High Durable Nature: Linen fabric is itself very strong and has a high durability. Linen also has a high resistance power against dirt, stains, bacteria and insect attacks. The shirts are also lint-free, thus making it more preferable for wear and tear.

• Easy to Clean: Resistant to dirt and stains, linen shirts are easy to clean. It is also easy to dry them. The best part about these shirts is that they turn softer and more lustrous with each washing.

• Resistant to Rotting & Injuries: Silica present in the fibers of the flax plants used to create the shirts makes them highly resistant to rotting. Moreover, the natural strength of the fibers also makes the shirts extremely strong against cuts, bruises and scratches.

It is, therefore, not a surprise that I no longer wear a shirt which is not made up of linen fiber. Not only me, I’m sure that whoever understood their true worth found them blissfully addicted to these linen shirts.
