Dementia- A Brain Disorder That Can’t Be Ignored!
Dementia is a disorder in the brain that is detected from symptoms like loss of ability to think and reason and remember it is not just a disease, but it is a collection of symptoms that are caused due to various diseases or conditions. In some cases it can be treated and cured and in other cases, the person having dementia may also suffer from severe depression.
There are some examples that support this disease like, drugs or alcohol, or an imbalance in the hormones, or lack of some vitamins. In some cases this disease can be cured partially or totally, but your doctor needs to be very careful while diagnosing the condition. When the doctor is careful while diagnosing then they won’t miss any symptom and would not diagnose you incorrectly. It is believed that the frequency of the treatable conditions in dementia is almost 10%.
Some of the main causes of dementia are-
• Nutritional deficiencies like vitamin B12 and Folate deficiency
• Contaminated reactions like unnecessary consumption of alcohol or drug usage

• Hydrocephalus which means an accumulation of some fluid in the brain that would result in • developmental abnormalities, infections, injury and brain tumors.
• Kidney, liver and lung diseases and diseases like deterioration or loss of nerve cells in the brain like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s can cause dementia
• Some form of head injury or smaller injuries too can cause this disease.
Some of the common symptoms of Dementia are confusion, severe decline in problem solving skills and judgment capability, progressive memory loss, hallucinations and delusions, altered sensation or perception, lack of concentration and lack of spontaneity.
The dementia treatment for this disease is aimed at providing the best quality of life and the dementia carers support the patients in such a manner that they get the best treatment. This disease gets worse with age but the symptoms can definitely be reduced with drugs and other treatments. The treatment usually aims at improving the memory and the levels of concentration, reduce psychiatric problems and even improve the quality of life for the patients as well as the carers of the patient.
Dementia is a disease that is unbearable and it is quiet safe to prevent this form of disease by following a healthy routine of exercise and diet. If this is done regularly then it can solve the extent of strokes and dementia to a great extent. So get the dementia treatment on time and take the dementia carers support so as to ease your work.
