WelcomHeritage Ferrnhills Royaal Palace, Ooty

The Welcomheriatge Ferrnhills Royal Palace was the summer retreat of the Mysore Maharajas. Built in 1844 by Capt. F Cotton, it has served proudly as one of the earliest club hotels. The vibrant epoch of chivalry and romance that began with the British raj till now retains its essence in the area. Continuing in the capable hands of His Highness Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the hotel is established over 50 acres of land. Furnished with Burmese teak, the hotel has an eloquent banquet, 19 regal suites, multi cuisine dining, and a bar. The banquet retains is ornamental papiermache ceiling.

Said to be “one of the three jewels of the Raj,” the Windamere Hotel was established in the 19th century as a cozy boarding house for all those tired English and Scottish tea planters. Converted into a hotel just before Second World War, the hotel is well known for its old-school charm and ambience. This heritage hotel in Darjeeling is one of the colonial hotels in the world. Situated in the Observatory Hill of Darjeeling, the hotel is believed to be perfect for the guests who like the traditional feel.
