Laptop! It’s something that we can’t live without! You tend to sit for hours together in front of your computer and use it for different means like playing, listening music, chatting through social network sites, video conference calls, work on different files, etc. Sometimes we even watch movies and soap opera episodes by downloading them with the help of a high speed internet connection that has effective video streaming like the one powered by Cox Deals. To say, nothing else in the entire world can be that frustrating like working with a slow computer. It is the most annoying and everybody would wish to improve the speed of their computer. In that case, there are many things that you can do and follow a certain steps that can speed up your computer.

The first and foremost step is that you need to check for viruses in your personal computer or laptop and remove any spyware. Remember, virus infected files or programs can slow down the speed of your computer to a great extent. The next step is to check for hardware and free disk space. Ensure that the hardware you have is sufficient and also remove the unwanted or unnecessary files to free up your disk space, and also if you have many files, try to have a copy of the files in DVD or CD and delete it from the computer.

It’s better that you often clean up your desktop, and scan the computer for system errors on a regular basis. This can also enhance the speed of your computer. If you have many programs installed in your computer that you don’t use, try uninstalling them as if a program is installed, it links with operating system and no matter you use the program or not, the operating system takes it also into the count of active programs which can slow down the computer.

Finally if you are done with all the steps and still not satisfied with the speed of the computer, try defragmenting your hard drive. Before the process, make sure that you have back up for all the files in the computer. For sure the result can be a fast computer. Even now if you are not satisfied, try reinstalling the operating systems and programs. This can surely bloom up some difference in the speed of your computer as it is just like turning a slow turtle - 3 - 4 years computer to a fast rabbit - newly purchased computer. Whatever it is, you require a fast computer experience to live in this fast paced world.
