Blackberry Application Development - The Apps Run On The Securest Os
The words like “good” “excellent” and “best” were not in the news related to BlackBerry for so long but now RIM should be happy about that. The latest report by Trend Micro on mobile operating system security revealed that BlackBerry 7 is securest of the four big operating systems. For others, this is of course a matter to be concerned about.
The surveyor covered long list of features such as application security, authentication, data protection, and manageability and used them as the grounds of the survey. Above mentioned features are in fact critical factors, especially when a smartphone is to be used in business operations. Corporate establishments always consider these features before getting apps developed for particular mobile platforms. Leaky OS environment in terms of application security, authentication, data protection, and manageability is completely intolerable in a time where data breaches have become more and more common.
Trend Micro found that RIM’s BlackBerry 7 has scored highest points against most of the enterprise-level concerns related to safety of digital data and data transactions. ...
... The new OS provides excellent corporate-grade security and encourages developers to begin more and more BlackBerry application development projects for companies, businesses, enterprises and corporate firms. The OS provides and supports the all security related necessary tools that would further allow developers to work on securest BlackBerry application developments.
iOS lost points in the same survey because it demanded third party tools to fully secure data in iPhone. Windows Phone ranked third position when it was inspected for the same features. Android came at fourth place due to slack software ecosystem. RIM is persuading people to use such devices which are tools, not toys and this security related survey is further going to prove that why its persuasion is right.
Android is an undisputed leader in global smartphone market with 50 share but when it comes to mobile security, RIM has badly defeated the giant. Blackberry has long history in the business market but others emerged as consumer platforms with less protection features.
Survey’s datum exposes that RIM came on top and scored 2.89 that is far ahead of Apple’s iOS with 1.7; Windows Phone with 1.61; and Android OS with 1.37. The outcomes are going to give a shock to Android application builder that the Os has scored lowest place for security and data related features. Even the younger Windows Phone did comparatively well in the survey.
It is good news for the entire Blackberry application development community. Mobile app builders can now provide a long list of reasons that why businesses should prefer blackberry application development over others.
