A Tour To The Lush Green Valleys Of Barossa
Barossa is regarded as a popular wine producing region within Southern Australia. Head towards the north-east from Adelaide, and you will find the beautiful valley of Barossa. The distance from Adelaide is near about 60 km. Barossa tours are famous for the lush green valley that is a visual pleasure in itself. Summer is the best season to visit this stunningly beautiful valley.
There are seven major towns that lie within the valley region. These are Nuriootpa (4,414), Tanunda (4,153), Angaston (1,865), Williamstown (1,432), Lyndoch (1,415), Greenock (685), &Mount Pleasant (593). Population can be also observed within area outside these towns.
The region’s economic stability depend a large amount on the wine industry. While going for Barossa wine tours you will observe lots of vineyards surrounding a major part of this region. Apart from the wine industry, there is a significant amount of food production that takes place within this valley region. Angaston is famous for production of dry fruits like peaches, blueberries, cherries, etc. The most renowned dry fruit producing company within Angaston is Angas-Park-Fruit Company. The German breads & pastries are produced within the towns of Tanunda, Lyndoch, and Nuriootpa. A popular form of German sausage, Mettwurst, is produced within regions of Mount Pleasant, Tanunda, and Angaston. Barossa is also one of the major cheese producing regions within Australia. Places like Angaston& Greenock are major cheese-producing region within Barossa. In fact, this valley region has gained a positive reputation for producing high quality food products.
It is always better to go for Borossa wine tours during the time of Gourmet Festival. It takes place in August. It’s a food-n-wine festival where local wineries are the host.
