Introduction
For long, American leaders have tried to find a way to extend affordable and quality health care to every person. This goal remained unattainable for many Americans until the passing of Affordable Care Act. The healthcare law has made progress in the effort to reduce the number of Americans who could not access quality care. The number of uninsured adults was on the rise due to the cost of health insurance covers among other factors. Currently, about a quarter of the people who were uninsured before the law took effect now have coverage.
The amounts of coverage represent a significant step towards the achievement of the plan’s goals. However, various studies have given varying results on the level of satisfaction that enrollees report with their new health plans. Other studies have indicated that a large percentage of those who have bought a private insurance plan or enrolled in Medicaid in one of the new marketplaces created by the law were very or somewhat satisfied with their new coverage. Others have reported that the enrollees were unhappy with the plan. The differences in results require continuous ...
... research on the topic to bring a consensus on whether Americans are happy or unhappy with the impacts of affordable and quality health care. This current study seeks to address the variations In results and give a balanced view of how Americans feel about the impacts brought about by the Affordable Care Act
Literature review
According to Miller, the changes brought by the Affordable Healthcare Act had already a destructive impact on the America’s economy and healthcare system six months after take over. There are massive failures that go against the goal of the very plan. One of the problems is that Premiums Have Gone Up Despite the promise that enrollees will pay under his plan. Secondly, businesses have been forced to change their employees' healthcare plans to meet the new regulations. Americans are not also happy with the law since it will likely increase the federal deficit. Under the plan, many children are Uninsured since private insurers have cited huge expenses and unexpected costs as a result of the plan. Additionally, it has led to increasing in taxes paid by small businesses that most likely will lead to a cut back on hiring and expansion arising from the fear a new healthcare burden. The Minorities Get Worse Healthcare since it is a poorly performing welfare program. (Miller, 2010)
Gottlieb argues that the cost of cancer treatment have increased, and treatment quality have been negatively affected by the healthcare system's program expanded under the Affordable Care Act. The author notes that hospitals exploit the plan and forces drug companies to sell their products at a discount. Hence, the health care reform law encourages exploitation. (Gottlieb, 2013,) An article in the USA Today Magazine, states that the law is all about money and has failed to provide health care services to Americans. (ObamaCare Is About Money, Not Well-Being, 2013)
On the other hand, Kedmey argues that various people are happy with the plan. From a research conducted by the author through online social media by proponents and critics the Affordable Care Act, there are different views concerning the topic. People shared their personal stories of the impact they felt since the implementation. (Kedmey, 2013) . The literature shows that some people are happy while others feel that the law has resulted in more financial and economic burden on the Americans. The research has two hypothesis that guided the study process.

Hypothesis 1: How age and gender determined the amount of coverage given to an individual.

Hypothesis 2: How the work and coverage determined how an individual felt about the issue.

Hypothesis3: How age, gender, work, and coverage affect happiness.
Age, work and gender influence the amount of coverage that an individual gets. Some employers find in uneconomical to pay premiums for their employees particularly in short-term contracts and casual jobs. The age of an individual increases the propensity to get chronic illnesses and, therefore, determine the amount of insurance premiums that people are required to pay.
Data and measures
For this research, a sample of 630 individuals from different ages, job types, and gender was used. The sample comprised of employees from different departments of six organization. Respondents were required to fill in Survey questionnaires to capture the details of the research study. Only 600 responses were considered for this study after elimination of key missing data and duplicate cases. The sample was representative of the entire population given that the population included 68% of female respondents, 50% of respondents below 35 years and 75% of respondents in permanent employment. The independent variables; age, work, and gender were measured against the dependent variable, happiness.
The researcher made use of the ANOVA analysis to test the hypothesis. Age and gender showed a significant negative relationship to the level of happiness. Work type had a significant positive relationship to happiness. The insurance status or coverage showed a significant positive relationship to happiness. The results supported the part of the second and third hypothesis

Hypothesis 1: How age and gender determined the amount of coverage given to an individual.

Hypothesis 2: How the work and coverage determined how an individual felt about the issue.

Hypothesis 3: what effect do age, gender, work and coverage have on happiness?
Discussion
The amounts of coverage represent a significant step towards the achievement of the plan’s goals. However, various studies have given varying results on the level of satisfaction that enrollees report with their new health plans. This study shows that happiness with the affordable health care is dependent on various factors including work type and coverage. Most respondents without coverage were unhappy with the plan. 78% of respondents under the coverage were happy with the plan. 12% of this group cited that they received a lower quality of medical care than they accessed previously. 82% of respondents in permanent work were unhappy with the plan. They cited high costs of premiums and government spending as the main causes. 96% of respondents in part time and casual jobs were happy with the plan. Future research is needed to determine other factors that influence the happiness with the affordable health care plan. This will help account for other significant factors that impact the success of the healthcare plan.
