Marking the area was a long going tradition. Our ancestors used various types of signs from the early days of human civilisation to mark and claim the lands. This is also helpful to gather food, choosing hunting grounds and farming. Later the territory of many individuals created boundaries of nations. These markings are now not only limited to land, but leaders of each nation are also created designated areas in seas and oceans and the air and space above them. Any violation of these designated territories can even start a war between nations. Countries are separating their lands by barbwires, stone walls and electric fences, concealing their airs-space and territorial waters by fighter jets and missile cruiser ships. But, for individuals, the fencings are still high in demand for various reasons. Individual property protection, personal protection and agricultural protections are some of the highest demanded areas. In Port Lincoln, many property owners are now showing higher interests in enclosing their surroundings. This has increased the demand for fencing in Port Lincoln.

But, many people use it for the protection of their residential places.
