The Revolution Choir Sings Political Music And Songs To Protest Money In Politics

The climate of politics has become so decisive. It is very clear that the people want but as long as money remains in politics that will never happen.

The Revolution Choir is here to make it clear that, as long as the oil industry is allowed to spend millions into our political system, climate change will always be an issue. As long as Super Pac’s can dump millions into our election system then the people will always lose and corporations will always win.

So, The Revolution Choir sings political songs highlighting this problem in hopes of drawing attention to it. But political music is not enough. There needs to be a grassroots movement. People need to run for office and take back our congress. As long as we have a 2-party system then money will always remain in politics. As Jon Stewart once said, "I don't understand how in a country of 200 million voters we only have 2 political parties. We have 8 kinds of coke but only 2 political parties." One of the problems is Gerrymandering. It is so bad that we can have a congress with a 12% approval rating and yet a 90% re-election rate. Politicians have rigged the system to work in their favor. You can have a 90% of the voters want and demand Equal Pay for Equal Work, but as long as a congressman knows he has a million dollar super-pac behind him, he can screw the voters and vote in favor of those who are dumping millions towards his re-election. Even the best of political satire is not doing enough to spotlight this horrid issue.

No matter how much you write to your representative, call them, protest or shout, it will always fall on deaf ears for as long as there is money in politics.

The Revolution Choir is creating some of the best protest songs to draw attention to this issue. Let's fight the fight until the people’s voice has been heard.
