Arland Ben is a Navajo artist whose works exude what perfection is all about. His jewelry represents the finest metalwork in the world, and each piece becomes completely mesmerizing with high-quality gems set on them. He’s popular for using gold overlaid on sterling silver to create visually stunning and unique pieces, but he is also known for his use of high-grade natural turquoise, too. In fact, he picks only the finest, highest-grade stones in the country, with each piece being one-of-a-kind and able to add a finer touch to the jewelry. Here are some of the turquoise stones that he uses on his jewelry:

•Ithaca Peak spiderweb – Arland Ben picked the dazzling and large Ithaca Peak turquoise, a natural gem-grade stone with a deep sky-blue hue with a complex layered matrix of black spiderweb. It is found on the hand-chiseled bezel of a signature ring shank, which has incised edges, and oxidized and etched in the lower layer before it was filled with 14K gold petroglyphs. The ring is not only a memorable and dramatic work of art, but a highly collectible wearable masterpiece.

•Bisbee turquoise – The gem grade turquoise from a Southern Arizona mine has a striking deep blue hue with a dark brown spiderweb matrix forming a unique pattern. While most gem grade materials have a smokey matrix, this stone exemplifies the finest grade of turquoise to have been found in Candelaria mine. You can find this stone on Arland’s chiseled bezel over a cutout floral design. The stone is on one of his masterpiece petroglyph rings made of 14K gold and deeply stamped on the inside.

•Hidden Valley spiderweb turquoise – The centerpiece of one of Arland Ben’s one-of-a-kind 14k gold over sterling silver petroglyph ring is a stone that came from the Hidden Valley mine in Candelaria Hills, North Central Nevada. The mine has been abandoned, but the stone still represents it. It is incredibly striking with a 3D blue hue and green tints, and a vibrant gold-brown and red spiderweb matrix.

•Rare Gem Grade Blue Gem Turquoise – When Arland created a southwest revival bracelet with ingot sterling silver, he gave it a repousse pattern and placed an old gem grade Blue Gem turquoise on the center.

•Indian Mountain Turquoise – Arland himself collected the electric blue gem from Indian Mountain in the 1990s. The stone is one of the highest-grade, rarest, and most valuable turquoises ever found in Nevada.
