Men Too Suffer From Hair Problems And This Is How To Solve Them
Total Articles: 5
The way that hair routine is presented in advertisements and the media, one would think that only women have hair problems. But this is not so – men face hair issues too and in fact, they are quite common. While hair loss and its treatment are often reported, I will describe these and other hair problems that men face and methods as to how to solve them.
Men face all kinds of hair issues, ranging from greying, loss, unmanageable tufts, dealing with helmets while driving two-wheelers, rough hair and thinning hair. Not much attention is paid to such problems – men are told not to be girlish and to avoid cosmetic treatments. Or they are told to leave such issues alone.
Things are changing now. Men are becoming conscious of their looks, knowing that hair is important for their image. Here is what you can do about some of the common problems.
Hair problems due to helmets: A major problem faced by men who use two-wheelers is how to deal with hair problems created by wearing helmets. They spoil hairstyles, sometimes pulling out the hair while removing the helmet, or cause lines on the forehead. The important way to deal with hair problems due to helmets is not to use a tight helmet. Buy one which has straps that touch your head rather than the helmet. Avoid putting on your helmet while your hair is still wet. Also, keep a comb handy. When you step off your bike or scooter, step into the washroom and take a minute or two to moisten your hair and comb it before you go for your work.
Thinning of hair: With age, hairlines start to recede and hair starts to thin. This is a matter of much concern and men deal with it in different ways. Some shave off their head completely or start wearing caps. Others keep their hair short and grow a beard. Still, others accept the condition and leave it alone, hoping that nobody will notice it. The way to deal with thinning hair is to use a shampoo and conditioner that adds volume to your hair. Such shampoos are commonly available. If the thinning is severe, one has to go for hair transplant therapy.
Rough hair: Men tend to have rough hair as they go out more often than women. Frequent shampooing also causes hair to become rough. If rough hair is your problem, shampoo less often, apply a conditioner for dry hair or use hair oil. Oiling the scalp at night and shampooing in the morning also make the hair more manageable.
Greying hair: Hair turns grey either with age, or some young males suffer premature greying. If it is age-related, many men leave it alone as it looks dignified for their age. But for premature cases and others who want to hide their age, hair colour is recommended. But not just any hair colour – it is better to seek the advice of a stylist. A colour that best suits one’s natural colour should be chosen. But please remember that once you start colouring, you have to keep up your colouring routine, otherwise, the white hair roots will start showing, which look bad.
Hair loss and receding hairlines: Hair loss is a different matter. It cannot be treated by cosmetic measures alone. Should hair loss set in, you have to get some treatment done. The permanent treatment for hair loss and balding is hair transplant. These days the FUE and FUT methods are commonly used, which do not leave big scars and get your natural growth back. Seek professional advice for such treatments.
In sum, hair issues are very common in men, perhaps more than women. They can be easily dealt with, with a little bit of common sense and the above methods. Of course, the advice of good meals and nourishment, regular food habits, supplementing the diet with green vegetables and avoidance of smoking and drinking are the habits to be followed both by men and women. Follow a healthy lifestyle and your skin and hair will appear beautiful by themselves. A natural method of hair nourishment is recommended to all.
There are different ways to sort out the hair problems that men face but if there is any major problem exist like excessive hair loss and then turns into baldness then one of the best and permanent solution is hair transplant which is a very effective solution for men and women facing the traumatic situation like baldness.
