Garden Fairies That Glow In The Night

Some of my most favorite miniature accessories are the items that glow in the dark. I think it is because these tiny figurines remind me of the magic in starlight. There is something special about an artist, who imagines a gentle glow of fairy wings in the evening darkness of the fairy garden. When you have a passion for miniature gardening, you seriously appreciate artists who share their creative enthusiasm with an individual flair.

The woman who designed the Flower Fairy Secret Garden was inspired by the drawings of Cicely Mary Barker, an English artist best known for a series of fantasy illustrations depicting fairies and flowers. Joyce Sprau is the ideal person to collaborate with the Barker family and return the Flower Fairy collection to gardeners. Due to Joyce's years of experience designing toys, and her love of creating unique items for children, the fairies are once again available to miniature gardeners. The trait of visualizing and producing child safe miniature accessories, I much appreciate as a new mother, and I am excited to share these garden fairies with my infant daughter - once she is a little older.

Since today is the first day of spring, I spent a good chunk of the morning drinking coffee and thinking of my new miniature gardens for the upcoming glorious summer. I want to start the season with a bang and have a garden that is beautiful, classic, and has some pieces that make it stand out. I live at the entrance to a big neighborhood, and I love setting up front deck decorations for my friends to enjoy. When the snow starts to melt, I will have a chance to buy new containers, plant flowers, and show off my miniature gardening skills. I just cannot resist the temptation to start planning early. When I saw these Flower Fairies with the delicately painted faces and the wings that glow in the dark, I knew I had to add them to my first official tiny garden of the season. It has been awhile since we have seen bright blooms and greenery outside. Therefore, I plan to use miniature plants with colorful flowers to add an exciting punch of design in my next fairy garden. My first choice and favorite annual would have to be an Armeria juniperifolia, which is a rose pink flower and it is already on my shopping list.

When I was selecting miniature fairies, I became interested in the Buttercup Flower Fairy with her bright yellow dress, blond hair, and wings that charge in the sun and light up at night. I have also fallen in love with Baby Apple Blossom Flower Fairy who is wearing a pink dress with a ruffled collar at the neckline. She would be a classic fairy for my first spring garden to symbolize the relationship between a mother and her infant daughter. All of these miniature accessories are hand-painted and in my opinion, the most timelessly pretty miniature fairies. I am also impressed that the Flower Fairies are child-friendly, but they would make an excellent addition to an adult's newest fairy garden to celebrate the upcoming sunny weather.
