While it’s a world known fact that “Word of mouth” is one of the biggest forms of marketing. In today’s world, social media is the latest version of “Word Of mouth” marketing form. Once you would be able to connect people online on a common platform for all of your products and services, this would certainly spread the good word for your business without any hardcore effort. So we can quote that some of the few functions of social media which might impact your business, are:

a)Is your business participating in the overall conversation and sharing it further?

b)Are you paying attention and monitoring what is being said about you?

Social media requires a great amount of effort and there’s no doubt about it. Every business which has tried running their own Face book campaigns and Twitter profiles are already aware about the fact that getting new customers onboard isn’t an easy task to perform. So the question which still stays unanswered is,”What role shall Social media would be playing in your marketing strategies?”The answer is that with appropriate tools and tactics, any business can reap the benefits out of the social media marketing thing. Moreover, the role of Social media in the Digital Marketing strategy comes down to four main aspects:

1) Forming an Engaged audience

The First step should be creating a fan base for your list of products and services online. It should not be like you are creating a loud voice to market your products and services, it’s all about creating that engagement amongst the online people who are looking forward to products in line to the ones that you are providing. One of the aspects of the same is Social Link building.

Social link Building

Social link building is similar to conventional organic link building process, except the fact that you got to look forward for the same on social media platforms. Below are the five ways which might help you to learn what type of content should be created, so as to encourage more and more people to link to your site.

•Always create content which is closely related to your niche and start sharing it via social media networks

•observe the user engagement trend and categorize the content which was largely shared, liked, re-tweeted, etc.

•craft a new type of content which might be same as the previous one but better in quality

•get in touch and engage with everyone who are connected with your social media account and let them know that you have something of your interest.

•Relax while your new piece of content is being shared, liked, and linked to.

2) Reputation Management

Managing the reputation of your business or brand is not a new thing and business and people are doing it since ages to protect their goodwill. But when it comes to managing the same online, the whole concept takes a flip and the roles and responsibilities increases with due time. Nowadays business concerns need to identify what’s impacting their image online and to what extent.

3) Carrying out Customer service

While it’s clear that a how a business perform over a period of time is directly related to the fact that how better it serves its customers ,it’s really important that businesses need to conduct regular surveys and feedback forums in order to look after any kind of issue or complaints from the customer’s end. This would, on one hand would address all the grievances on the customer’s end and also avoid any customer from switching over to your competitors in due course. This would, in turn market a positive image for your business across your potential customers and would help in the overall growth of your business concern for many years to come.

4) Generating Leads

Another most exciting part of social media marketing is the ability to find relevant leads based on searches for keywords and phrases. These results are usually the recent ones and largely depend on your current location. So we can quote that Social media is not here just because of few likes and comments. It can construct your brand image, brace your online presence on search engines, provide the real time analysis to your business, and generate leads and a reckonable ROI. Having said that, it’s a fact that while creating an engaged audience for people like plumbers, insurance brokers, and locksmiths is quite difficult as they are the ones who don’t have that much reach to online tools and techniques, still through efficient social media marketing, brands and businesses can use the social platforms like Face book and Twitter to find people who are interested in your set of products and services. By setting this search filter, you can then engage with people in your locality to help youe business groom in a better manner around.
