Turkey’s property market is like that of any other in the world when it comes to factors like current trends, land availability, services, amenities and more. Official Turkish land records show that certain cities are more popular for property purchases, not just by citizens, but foreigners as well. Expats can buy property for half the price of the home country. Turkey has lower prices compared to many other EU nations and the US and UK. Choose villas in Turkey in these amazing cities.

Istanbul: A City of Magical Delights

The biggest city in Turkey is not its capital Ankara but Istanbul, which offers a home buyer a plethora of choices and availability. Places like Istanbul are known for affordable property and rising value for money, as one moves towards luxury living while off plan projects are more in demand for summer apartments, weekend residences and studio apartments for workers. A lot of foreign buyers opt for Istanbul. This includes Arabs, Europeans and Americans attracted by Istanbul’s historical timeline of influence across many cultures. The busiest airport close by is where hundreds of flights take on from Ataturk International airport to countries across the world.

Additionally, this cosmopolitan city offers a lot of diversity as well. There are so many choices when it comes to cuisine, shopping, entertainment and lifestyle choices so that one knows what to buy, need and cater for. The latest population count of Istanbul is 14 million people and new, modern properties are looking to set the trend for a vibrant community. Moreover, renovation as well as restoration projects are also in a lot of demand. There’s a lot of land on the outskirts so demands can be met.

Fethiye: A Beautiful Seaside Haven

Fethiye is located on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. Its status has risen from a tiny fishing village to a city of its own rights. A lot of British expats have relocated here permanenently, attracted by the price of property, frequent transport network and amazing views including the rugged Taurus mountains and blue seas.

Locals speak English which promotes an easier way of life for expats who are learning a language. Along with the town center, Fethiye includes smaller resorts like Hisaronu, Ovacik, Calis and Olu Deniz.

Most of Fethiye’s region is humming with activity when summer comes, and winter signals a period of hibernation. This plays a huge part for property investors looking for summer homes or rental potential.

Bodrum Peninsula: The Turkish Riviera

Located on the Aegean coast, Bodrum is a massive destination offering budget property investments and luxury buyers who adore million pound villas with the best furnishings and architectural trends. There are also a large range of villas and apartments, close to shopping areas providing quick, easy access in summers.

Resorts like Turgutreis and Yalikavak attract buyers from EU and offer budget properties. Others are luxury resorts that capture the attention of the rich and wealthy. This includes Turkbuku. Bodrum is considered the jewel of the Turkish Riviera and considered a magnificent dwelling place for the best homes and beach houses.

Antalya: Popular Holiday Destination

Considered one of Turkey’s most popular holiday destinations, Antalya has a busy airport and a booming property market. It attracts buyers across different nationalities like Russians, Germans, Turks and Brits. The peninsula itself has resort cities with unique character and personality. The town center attracts property buyers with a lot of malls and an excellent transport network. In Antalya there are many historic fishing villages like Side. Belek is the golfing center while Kemer focuses on exclusive beachfront hotels. Villas for sale in Turkey in each of these locations is worth a consideration.

Antalya’s strength in the tourism market is interesting for potential buyers of real estate too. When it comes to price, other locations like Fethiye may be budget based, but Istanbul and Bodrum have quality properties that require a serious investment. Tourism is the sixth busiest industry with many regions and destinations having their own merit, but comparing prices makes it worth the extra cost, if you consider the value you get for the money. Villas in Turkey for sale in these cities offer the best deals.
