Bill Ackman is an American investor and the founder of Pershing Square Capital Management, a hedge fund management company. The achievements of this man in the diverse field are commendable but he considers himself as an active Investor. A Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College in 1988 continued his way to MBA in 1992 from Harvard Business School. His investing style and investments have had its fair share of critical praise and denigration from U.S. federal and state government officials, heads of other hedge funds, various retail investors, and the general public.

It is all just the part of life. Here I am compiling his greatest sayings which lead his path to a successful career to earn money through investment:

Have faith in what you are doing:
“Investing is a business where you can look very silly for a long period of time before you are proven right.”

Follow the idea until you reach your destination:
“If I believe that I am right, I will take it to the end of the earth until I am proven right.”

Love what you do, money will follow you:
“I love what I do. I don't do it for the money. I work on behalf of investors that I like and want to do well for. I'm a competitive person.”

Follow your instincts:
I'm an extremely, extremely persistent person, extremely. And when I believe I am right, and it is important, I will go to the end of the earth.

You can afford to make mistakes:
“Experience is making mistakes and learning from them.”

Believe in your idea is important:
“I am always prepared to do the right thing regardless of what other people think.”

Fight till the last breath:
“Let me win? That doesn’t exist in my house. No one lets anyone win. Fight to the death.”

There is always a room for improvement:
“What I love about tennis is that I’m better now than I was when I was 20.”

Life teaches best lessons of life:
“Once I was being scooped on a book idea on how to write college essays: “I suffered extreme psychological torture. I said, the next time I have a really good idea, I’m not going to listen just because someone is older than me”.”

Talk to yourself, motivate yourself:
“The single most important thing to me, personally, is the ability to speak my mind. I’m a change-the-world guy, and I know that sounds like bullshit or whatever. You can say I’m self-righteous. You can say that I’m disingenuous.”

Work for fun not for earning:
“I have more money than I need. I don’t need to work for a living. I do this because I love what I do.”

Put emotions aside while making business and investments:
“I’m not emotional about investments. Investing is something where you have to be purely rational and not let emotion affect your decision making – just the facts.”
