Today's parents have grown up hearing the intelligent tales of Thennali Rama, absorbing Birbal tales, and much more form their grandparents. With the effect of technology in today's lifestyle, the trend has paved its way to animated short stories. At the same time, it is really good to note that oral storytelling has much more to do with the development of the imaginative power of the junior citizen as well as with strengthening of bonds within the family. Some stories help children to be always in touch with the cultural roots. Besides great morals, they are thought-provoking as well.

Storytelling also serves as an interactive learning session in disguise. As the story develops, the child starts thinking and he asks questions.
