Furthermore, gentle pressure should be applied to the nostrils until normal clotting starts.
The tongue has four specific areas
If this was true, only specific areas could feel sweetness or any other taste, but we feel the uniform taste throughout our tongue. This depicts that the belief prevalent is not to be trusted!
Spicy foods cause ulcers
There is no truth in this statement. It has been medically proven that around 80 to 90 percent of intestine and stomach ulcers are caused by Helicobacter (infections due to bacteria). Yes, spicy food can mess with your stomach for a day or two, but ulcers are never caused because of this.
Taking antibiotics while being struck by viral infection is good
Bacteria and viruses are completely different organisms. Bacteria are single-celled organisms while the viruses are acellular, i.e., they have no cell structure and require a living host to survive. And thus, to treat them, different drug doses are needed. Also, improper use of antibiotics is dangerous as it creates bacterial strains that are resistant to the medicine.
