Wearing a geared triathlon wetsuit means, you do not have to change costumes while transitioning from one activity to another. Wearing a fitted suit is important as it does not restrict the movement especially while cycling. However, opting for a suit that is too snug may create restrictions in movement while swimming. A well-fitted suit will not catch any water or air pockets and offer limited buoyancy that you find in normal wetsuits.
A triathlon wetsuit always has knee and elbow padding to minimize bruises in case of accidents. It acts just like a wetsuit; it prevents the limbs from getting paralyzed after entering the knifing waters and keeps the body warm. Just like a normal wetsuit, tri suits are also made of neoprene, which is a material used for creating professional surfing costumes. Neoprene is a particularly buoyant material and aids the swimmer to take quicker strokes in waters.
