A drop of ink can make a million think.

In cooking, you need to collect, chop up, grind, knead and blend different ingredients to prepare a delicious and nutritious meal. Writing a good copy is no different. Both require a lot of mini skills to attain perfection.

Take stock of the following technical nuances of writing engaging, enchanting and persuasive content that can go viral even before you realize. These 5 mini skills shall improve your handwriting and make it less mediocre:

1. Take a structured approach to your writing process
Often, the problem lies in lack of preparation, and not lack of inspiration. Do proper planning, drafting, editing and formatting of your copy. For this, you need to understand the unfulfilled wishes and desires of the audience as well as their daily struggles and questions waiting to be answered. Relevant and persuasive arguments and client testimonials add weight to your writing and enhance your credibility as a business. Assemble all these elements and put them in the right places to get the desired results.

2. Make your content authoritative, nourishing and memorable
At any given time, hundreds of digital writers will be penning a write-up on the same topic as yours. So, how to ensure your piece stands out in the crowd? Include stats and industry expert quotes to lend credibility to whatever it is you are presenting. Answer specific questions of a majority of the audience and solve specific problems. Make it richer by adding details and real examples. Ordinary content bores readers, so much so that they literally cease to return. Make your copy delightful, nourishing and beneficial to readers. This way, your write-ups will automatically become memorable.

3. Abstain from using bland words and phrases
Repetitive, unappetizing and tasteless words and phrases easily turn readers off and make them lose interest soon. Use the language that your readers speak; don’t embellish your work unnecessarily. Words like actually and nice are weak and doughy in nature. They have lost their meaning over the years. Use more precise, more relevant and stronger words that add a dash of personality to what you write.

4. Make the transition between sentences and paragraphs effortless
The movement from one sentence or paragraph to another must be smooth and seamless. Let the readers glide through them painlessly. The content shouldn’t be jerky and disconnected, which increases the chances of readers misinterpreting it. Communicate with full clarity so that readers never lose track of the flow. You may change the gear, but not abruptly. Never leave a chance for readers to get stuck around any written word.

5. Cultivate empathy to make readers more confident and secure
It is through empathy that you gain deeper understanding into what your audience wants. You must develop an ability to address all kinds of customer issues. It can be a groundless fear, any kind of insecurity or a business matter. A desire to help emanates from this kind of empathy, and it guides your action. Make the connection between you and your audience strong and let them feel reassured by cultivating empathy.

Mediocrity is not sizzling, it never was. Do a balancing act of the above-mentioned factors to ensure that every piece of content you generate is exciting to read and share. This way your writings will move up in rankings.
