Atholl Brose:
It is a drink that captures the essence of UK winter. It is a Scottish drink that is made by mixing honey whisky, oatmeal brose and sometimes the cream is added as well. The drink was named after the 1st earl of Atholl. The drink is made by soaking four tablespoons of medium oatmeal in water. The water should be 500 ml. Strain the liquid using a sieve and get rid of the oatmeal. The mixture that you get is called broose and you need to mix it with three to four heather honey tablespoons. Finally add 500 ml of whisky shake it and for special occasions add some cream and the drink is ready to serve.
Mulled wine:
It is classic winter drink that you need to try. The best thing about this drink is its flexibility as you can experiment with the ingredients and make it perfect for you. The best ingredients for combining with the red wine are brown sugar, nutmeg, cloves, orange juice and cinnamon. Add these ingredients to the red wine and boil it so that the sugar gets dissolved. After boiling you need to let it cooled for about fifteen minutes. Consider fine red wines like Denbies, Bolney or Biddenden and you will have the best mullen wine you could ask for.
Cognac French 75:
It is a perfect winter treat as it offers warmth and deliciousness. The ingredients of the Cognac French 75 can vary but if you are looking to create a rich taste then you should use gin. It gives the drink a nice and silky taste. Adding some lemon, splash of wine along with simple syrup is an excellently delicious drink.
The posh hot chocolate:
Chocolate and winter are a perfect combination as hot chocolate keeps you warm and cozy. The posh hot chocolate is an excellent choice. All you need is your favorite chocolate bar and break it into the bowl. Then you need to heat milk and double cream. Take the mixture off before it boils and pour it over chocolate. Stir and you will have a happy and warm drink.
Hot spiced cider:
It is a classic British drink that is good for the chilly season. You will enjoy it a lot in winter if you put the winter twist on it.  You need to take cider and put them in cooking pots, add brandy, sugar syrup, cinnamon sticks, cloves, apple slices and grated nutmeg. Boil the mixture and let it cool for fifteen minutes.
