This bed was introduced for the first time in the 19th century and is probably the most widely used mattress type. Latex Mattresses

Latex mattress is made from hevea brasiliensis trees this is the reason why it tends to be more expensive that the others. Over the years, the process has expanded to include the Talalay method as well as synthetic and even organic latex. Initially, latex was very expensive but modern manufacturing has lowered the price considerably. There are two types of latex mattresses named after different manufacturing processes. The Dunlop process is the original process for making latex foam, since 1929 when a serum is wiped from a tree poured into a mold and baked afterwards. The Talalay process consists of two steps it is also more expensive than the first one. Latex mattresses tend to be a little more expensive than other mattress types, due to the cost of the materials used. This mattress type is also difficult to buy or try locally, as few national brands carry 100% natural latex beds.
