The recently concluded India tour or Sri Lanka brought several records for team India. The visitors wrecked up a clean sweep in all three formats winning the last T20 fixture. The tour comprised of two Test matches, five ODI matches and a single T20 and India’s winning figure was 7-0. Apart from others, Virat Kohli scaled up several feats in the tournament as a batsman. Other players in the team like Rohit Sharma, Shekhar Dhawan, MS Dhoni and several new cricketers in the team delivered massive runs with centuries and half centuries in the tournament. Also, bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal reached new heights.

The Best achiever of the tournament is easily India captain Virat Kohli. The start batsman is now the highest run-getter in T20 format. He scored 83 runs in the last match, which enabled him to pass Suresh Raina’s tally. This in T20 Cricket Schedules in India so far, Kohli is the rising star. The batsman’s aggression on the wicket has become a trademark. It was also mentioned by a Sri Lanka cricketer that he doesn’t need to be aggressive whenever he plays. But this is his style and approach.

In the latest match, the India captain surpassed the score of Brendon McCullum, who has a tally of 1006 runs. In overall T20 records, Kohli is now the third highest scorer in T20 with an aggregate of 1830 runs. The only players ahead him are McCullum and Tillakaratne Dilshan.
