As a first time home buyer, you are likely to be both excited and somewhat jittery about buying your first home. A city like Bangalore offers several options for both first time home buyers and others in terms of choice and amenities. Buying a home is often a life-time commitment and almost all of the other choices in life will remain closely tied to this very decision.

Buying a home is a long-term financial commitment and people need to be aware of the implications it is likely to have on their monthly finances. Adequate provisions need to be made for the EMIs, taxes and other frequent home expenses. Also, we are seeing a relative drop in the average age of the modern home buyer. In most cases, nowadays people in the 30-40 age ground find it attractive to make a decision on investing in a home.

This relatively, inexperienced home buying profile, often results in hurried transactions, executed with inadequate planning which can land you in a difficult spot. The decision to buy a home can be enriching and reward, if executed with sufficient planning, advice and thought. However, the same can turn out to be a nightmare, ...
... if done so, in a hurried and ill-advised manner.

Given the pitfalls in a real estate transaction and possibility of making a mistake, it is advisable to stick to a reputed and well known developer. This relatively cuts down the risk but does not eliminate it altogether. At the same time, a home buyer must be clear about what exactly he wants from the home. With the myriad choices currently available, it is very easy to get confused and buy something which you will have little use in future.

Carrying out a thorough research is also vital. The research must include legal scrutiny, financial advisory and conversations with existing or potential buyers. Taking this approach is likely to keep you insulated from a lot of potential risks in the future.
