Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Lord of the commoners. As the story goes the Lord had come down to earth to save the world and its populace from evil and bear the sins of the human. According to the Bible, a number of reasons have been found for which Jesus came to earth. Some of the reasons include to fulfill prophecy, to abolish the law, to help the lost, to save the lost, to serve humanity, to preach, to save the sinners, destroy the evils to name a few. The Christmas is celebrated with hullabaloo all around the world. Houses are decorated with Wreaths and lightings whereas large artificial Christmas trees are set up in corporate houses and big establishments.

Many stories go around about the relation between the Christmas and the Christmas tree. The Christmas trees are fir plants found typically in the hilly regions. The general story says that Christmas tree depicts the winter festivities and is put up to celebrate the arriving of the spring. Christianity portrays the life of Lord by the Christmas tree. Other folklore suggests the tree to be a Paradise Trees which represented the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve lived. The first ever documented proof of decorating the Christmas tree inside the household is by Martin Luther in the 16th century.

The initial Christmas trees were made out of wood in the shape of a pyramid and decorated with feathers and edibles covered in gold. Nowadays with the artificial Christmas trees coming up of varying sizes and styles, getting one for the house is no problem.

The Christmas trees are available mostly in three colours – green, white and black. The heights can range between 3 feet to 20 feet.
